He is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sasu Oil Ltd. Prior to this appointment he was a unit Head Commercial Banking Group at Olu-Obasanjo Branch of First Bank Nigeria Limited. Before coming to First Bank, he was the Head of Operation of Allstates Trust Bank, NLNG Branch Bonny Island, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
He left banking briefy, between 2006 and 2007 to establish other businesses in the Oil and Gas Industries. He went back to banking precisely February 2007, were he joined First Bank as an investment banker in retail businesses. He demonstrated a high level of Financial Management and Credit analysis that made him to be enlisted in the Bank Credit Committee In November 25, 2008. Same year he was moved to Corporate Banking Group before he was eventually assigned to head a unit of Commercial Banking in 2015. He has garnered diverse expertise in Financial Management, Corporate Governance, Investment Banking and Compliance.
Mutairu attended The Polytechnic Ibadan were he obtained HND in Mechanical/Production Engineering. He also holds a PGD in Management from Rivers State University of Science and Technology. In addition to his PGD he also holds MBA in Management from the prestigious University of Port-Harcourt (Uniport).
Mutairu is a student member Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a member of NIM. (Nigeria Institute of Management).
Mr Mutairu Adamu is also a board of directors in various organization such as Mutadam Engr & Aluminium Coy Ltd, Dealwise BDC Ltd & Key Capital Ltd.
He is happily married with children.
